Toy computers have been around for awhile, but over the years they have become more and more sophisticated. The ones made specifically for babies are simple in design, but interesting, and certainly have a lot to offer your child by way of entertainment.

The Vtech Baby’s Learning Laptop actually is an educational toy, just not any more than most any you for that age range is. It has large keys with pictures to press, and it makes a few noises. It teaches object names, shapes, and feelings in three different modes of play time.

All in all this is a pretty good educational toy for any baby between the ages of 6 months to 12 months. Vtech is a trusted company that has been making children’s toys for decades, and seem to specialize in early development items. Because of this, and their limited need for recalls in the past, you can bet they will usually be a good choice.

Another good point about this laptop is that the buttons are large. Even if your child did manage to pry it off of the surface, they would only be able to get a corner in their mouth. There is no choking hazard, and no cords that could wrap around their necks.
